Are you a strong communicator who excels at building relationships, writing winning grant proposals, and staying organized? You sound like a good fit for our new grants manager and editor position.
The grants manager and editor is a two-pronged position responsible for coordinating foundation fundraising for the Grand Canyon Trust. Foundation revenue represents 50 percent of the Trust’s annual income. The Trust’s current model of foundation fundraising is based upon a decentralized process – program staff are responsible for raising a projected amount of resources for their work. The grants manager and editor serves as the hub of this operation while the staff are the spokes. Collectively the team develops relationships with potential funders and collaborates on initial grant writing. The grants manager and editor writes, edits, and finalizes all proposals, reports, and other materials for foundation donors and prospects. The grants manager and editor clearly communicates and tracks all deadlines, collates all associated materials, and submits all proposals in a timely and efficient manner. The grants manager and editor keeps detailed records for all applications and reports and tracks deliverables for the organization.
In addition, the grants manager and editor serves as a proofreader and editor for both the development and communications departments. This includes editing and proofing drafts and final communications for all programs.
