Job Title: Accounting Operations Representative
Department: Operations Department
Reports to: Operations Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Individuals in the job are responsible for assisting Tropical Financial Credit Union in the achievement of its purpose of guiding members successfully through the financial marketplace. This position oversees all ATM duties items; this includes posting, reconciling, verifying and balancing accounts in all ATM network areas. This position is responsible for balancing complex ATM related and Shared Branching activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Process subpoenas for shared branching transactions.
•Prepares all branches savings bond for deposits.
•Deposits all return checks and responsible for notification to affected members.
•Performs all wire related duties.
•Process loan payment returns.
•Serves as a resource to other Tropical staff to perform research and answer member questions related to ATM.
•Performs related duties as required with or without accommodation.
•Research requests
•Dormant Flag removal
•Special Projects
•Return Mail
•Assist with the department functional duties.
•Provides back up support with balancing, preparing and posting all ATM networks. Processes corrections via the ATM Network terminals for members and non-member transactions.
•Assists with processing dispute affidavit for ATM transactions.
•Provides backup support with processing of ATM Adjustments for non-monetary transactional branches.
•Provides backup support with duties for ATM proprietary, networks, and Shared Branching facilities.
•Assists with interfaces with credit union personnel to obtain information, verify or support ATM/Shared Branching transactions.
•Assists with evaluating procedures in an effort to streamline & improve processes.
•Assists with monitoring the ATM out of balance general ledger.
•Provide support with all activities of the ATM services area.
•Performs related duties as required with or without accommodation.
Compliance:
-BSA Compliance - every employee is required to uphold the credit union’s compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering policies and procedures. Specific functions within TFCU will take into consideration the awareness of unusual or suspicious activity that is relevant to the department.
-In addition to any other assigned training courses, online BSA and OFAC courses must be completed at least annually, as made available by the Training and/or Compliance Departments.
-Maintains comprehensive knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Customer Identification Program, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, Fair Lending and Credit Card Act.
-Comply with all TFCU policies and procedures to ensure compliance with such regulations.
-Provide service that meets the Service Standards defined by Tropical Financial Credit Union and achieve annual goals that are established through the Performance Management Process.
-An individual in this position is required to communicate and interact regularly with all credit union employees, Members and external vendors; therefore outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills are a must.

Qualifications & Requirements
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience
 Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
 High school diploma and two years of college courses in accounting or finance.
 Three years of finance and accounting operations experience in a financial institution.
 Ability to read and interpret documents such as the Product & Services Manual, etc. (safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions) and procedure manuals.
 Must have a strong working knowledge of credit union/banking concepts, practices, procedures and relevant systems.
 Familiarity with Spectrum/Branch Suite systems preferred.
 Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
 Proven excellent interpersonal skills when communicating with Members and employees and must be a team player.
 Ability to research, gathers information, analyze and write routine reports and correspondence.
 Ability to meet deadlines in an organized and timely fashion.
 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to multi-task in a fast paced dynamic work environment.
 Must be a self-starter and must have a flexible work schedule to complete daily work volume.
 Knowledge of MS Office programs: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or touch.
