To complement our rapid growth, we are seeking a Senior Technical Accounting Manager with a CPA and solid background in Public Accounting. We are looking for a hands-on Technical Accountant who wants to be a part of the global corporate accounting team. This role will report to the Corporate Controller. The person in this role should be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively with peers and management alike in a high-paced environment. The ideal candidate is someone who has Big 4 public accounting experience, strong technical accounting background, and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically.

When safe to return, this position will need to report to the Headquarters in San Ramon, CA. This is not a remote position.

Primary Responsibilities & Objectives
As a Senior Technical Accounting Manager, within the Corporate Accounting department, this roleís responsibilities would include researching technical accounting issues, navigating new business initiatives and their corresponding accounting implications, assess impact and lead implementation of new technical guidance. Provide oral and written communication with internal stakeholders and external auditors on technical accounting matters. This role is responsible for research, documentation, implementation of FASB pronouncements, as well as support the Dir., SEC Reporting as needed on external financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a great communicator and enjoys collaborating with people with diverse set of talents, in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities

Determine the appropriate accounting treatment and disclosures of complex transactions and monitor and assess new GAAP accounting standards to determine impact.
Perform the research and resolution of significant and/or non-routine transactions.
Prepare technical accounting position papers to meet internal and external auditor requirements.
Support management team on various technical accounting matters.
Draft and maintain global accounting policies and memos
Prepare or review journal entries and account reconciliations for technical accounting areas.
Assist with establishing and then managing the Companyís Finance and Accounting technical training program.
Assist with quarterly materials for executive audiences.
Assist with new and/or existing complex accounting for stock-based compensation, M&A transactions, consolidation, investments, convertible debt, etc.
Assist Dir. Of SEC Reporting as deemed appropriate.
Be a trusted business partner and work closely with various stakeholders within finance and across the Company including investor relations, legal, financial planning & analysis, stock plan administration, general accounting, tax and treasury.
Contribute to various department and organizational special or ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
CPA required; Bachelorís degree in Accounting or equivalent
5+ years of relevant experience
Public accounting experience required, Big 4 strongly preferred, mix of public accounting and industry a plus
Proven track record of quality delivery and on-time performance
Excellent oral and written communication and analytical skills
Outstanding project management skills to establish and meet deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills with a team oriented approach to managing tasks and delivery
Self-starter with ability to work independently and involve others as required
Attention to detail, organized and thorough
Excellent understanding of US GAAP
Strong understanding and knowledge of SOX controls for business processes
