Job Description

Silvus Technologies is dedicated to one mission: connecting those who keep us safe. We do so by delivering the most advanced Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) radios powered by our custom and ever evolving Mobile-Networked MIMO waveform. THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Silvus is seeking a Support Logistics Associate who will report to the Director of Applications Engineering. The successful individual in this role will be responsible for shipping, receiving, and maintaining loan inventory, as well as handling RMAs and other sales-related activities. Additionally, this role will involve occasional assistance with testing events, including equipment preparation, transportation, as well as setup and teardown support.

 

This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles.

The following is a list of at least some of the current essential job functions of the position. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities at any time at its discretion.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the cleaning, configuration, preparation, and shipping of Loan radios and accessories.

  • Receive, unpack, and process internal RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations).

  • Assist with RMA shipments as needed, with primary responsibility held by the Shipping team; assist in packing and shipping outbound customer orders during periods of high demand with manager's approval.

  • Oversee all aspects of outbound domestic and international shipments, including inspection, packing, and paperwork preparation.

  • Maintain and manage Loan Inventory facilities and associated items.

  • Conduct routine, monthly inventory audits, ensuring physical equipment counts match inventory software counts and loan inventory is neatly organized.

  • Unpack and inspect incoming packages, ensuring all items are properly accounted for, in good, working order, cleaned, and stored in an organized manner.

  • Manage inventory of packaging materials.

  • Handle the packaging of products for shipment, as well as the coordination of transportation and carrier services.

  • Ensure on-time delivery schedules and communicate tracking information for all shipments.

  • Occasionally support the SE team in local and remote testing excursions, including equipment preparation, transportation, test site setup/teardown, and testing participation.

  • Perform other related duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or shipping and receiving.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Internet skills, including use of email, group messaging, and digital data collection.

  • Valid Driver’s License.

  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

  • NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.

  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Experience with FedEx, UPS, and DHL systems and software.

  • Experience shipping commercial goods to international destinations.

  • Detail oriented and self-motivated.

  • Demonstrate a strong focus on maintaining cleanliness in all work areas.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Office environment.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:

    • Lift equipment up to 50 lbs. 

    • Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.

    • Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.  

CA Pay Range: $21 - $25 / hourly 


Basic Requirements

  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or shipping and receiving.

  • NOTE - Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
