This is a full-time, hourly level position.

Position Summary:
Candidate will be expected to promote in the line of progression established by the facility.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain inspection records and complete work orders
Attend safety training sessions and be able to pass associated tests for job duty requirements
Operate the following equipment: forklift, packer, hand trucks, scoop, shovel, broom, pressure washer, tape measure, scales, fall restraint systems, midds loading equipment and car pullers.

Job Requirements:

Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
Willing to work overtime, weekends, call-in/call-back when needed
Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed
Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude
Ability to stand and walk continuously for 8 hours if necessary
Ability to climb stairs and ladders
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds/23 kilograms
Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, weekends and required overtime
Must have reliable transportation to work including on 2nd and 3rd shift
Must be able to learn and follow plant safety, food safety, sanitation and environmental programs.
Must be able to direct other employees in proper safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures
Must be able to complete paperwork and plant control documentation in both written and computerized
Must be willing to learn tasks and jobs in all other parts of the plant.
Must be able to learn to operate outdoor plant powered equipment such as skid loader, telehandler, etc.
Ability to wear a half-face dust respirator is a requirement. Prospective candidate must be able to pass required medical clearances and fit tests.
