Under criticism that her political rhetoric had helped create a climate for political violence, Sarah Palin addressed the issue in trademark fashion: via e-mail to the conservative commentator Glenn Beck. “Our children will not have peace if politicos just capitalize on this to succeed in portraying anyone as inciting terror and violence,” Ms. Palin wrote to Mr. Beck in an e-mail that he read Monday on his radio program.

Mr. Beck said he received the message over the weekend, when Ms. Palin and her aides were otherwise ignoring requests for comment about the Tucson shootings from members of the mainstream news media.

Such unconventional political communication has served Ms. Palin well in the past two years.

By managing her image almost exclusively through Twitter, Facebook, a reality television show and appearances on Fox News, Ms. Palin has managed to become both ubiquitous and insulated, and to emerge as one of the most formidable Republicans considering a presidential run next year. ...

True dat, she shouldn't be the lone "scapegoat", eh! I guess I'm a bit biased because sometimes I think the media gives Sarah a "bad rap" one because she's a woman and two because she's a "different kind of politician" from Moose country. I don't think Sarah's dumb at all, but perhaps she's angry with the media from her run as VP for John McCain's Presidential campaign.

Although I'm not condfromning Sarah's lack of judgement over the webpage targeting Rep Gifford and other Democrats, I do think she needs to speak publicly for the record and stop hiding behind the world wide web. It's the right thing to do.

...The fact that Giffords herself called this out months ago, specifically citing Palin's gunsight imagery targeting Giffords, is reason enough for Palin to come clean, publicly on this...

I absolutely agree that Sarah should come out and make a public appearance but not with Katie Couric or Oprah (President Obama sympathizers), or anyone who wants to "jump on her" but rather someone like Anderson Cooper.

We can maybe start thinking about this that just hit me...Palin's church emported a famous African preachers for his ability to cast witches out to come to her home town to protect her bids for political offices...

during the presidentail campaign I believe that MSNBC was teh only news medium to actually show her preacher casting witches out of her body's rituals...he also protects teh whole home town of Palin's in this way...

and, I have said all of that to say this...it may be that Palin's greatest screw up has been using all of her time making more money until she has niglected to go home and get a witch casting out ritual?!? just think about how every thing she touched turned to money until she stopped going to Alaska? lol (smile)

...anyone asking themselves things like...when Juan Williams was in trouble Fox came to his rescue using all of their anchors to cover this?...notice how Fox with such pride in paying Palin to be a regular on teh network has now limited her to a letter on Beck...the only program with no sponsors since Color of Change and MSNBC reporting directly from teh Black community and now loosing natioanl carriers of is radio show show this only on his program....THINK MY PEOPLE, THINK ABOUT THINGS LIKE THIS AS THIS IS SHOWING OUR BLACK POWERS IN ACTION...LOV YA ALL (SMILE)

@Jen, I will join you in supporting Palin for sticking faithfully for what she stands for...she has today shown this to be her goal as well as Jared Loughner in delevering the mission statement of teh Teaparty as Palin is called a leader of the Teaparty. (smile)
