Egypt was ruled by black pharaohs for nearly 100 years, but their role as leaders of the ancient civilization has been largely kept in the dark because of racism, according to this month's National Geographic magazine. Scholars and historians have repeatedly failed to acknowledge the impact made by the group of kings who traveled from deep in Africa and conquered Egypt in 728 B.C., National Geographic says. The Nubian kings, who came from an area of Africa that is mostly present-day Sudan, became the country's 25th dynasty and reunited Egypt, which had been torn apart by warlords. The magazine claims the true impact of these rulers has never been widely accepted because European powers colonized the region in the 19th century and the role of the "darker skinned" conquerors was seen as irrelevant. "For decades, historians flip-flopped: Either the black pharaohs were actually 'white,' or they were bumblers, their civilization a derivative off-shoot of true Egyptian culture," writes Robert Draper in National Geographic. "The neglect of Nubian history reflected the bigoted world view of the times." The story of the Nubians proves that African civilization was thriving in the ancient world, and intermingling and intermarriage with Egyptians was also reasonably common, the article says. Some studies also have found that Egyptian pharaoh King Tutankhamun's grandmother, the 18th-dynasty Queen Tye, may have had Nubian heritage. Hello Anita,
What difference should it make to you that in ancient times Egyptians were referred to as Black? All Blacks are not the same people. Likewise, all blackbirds are not crows. Some blackbirds are ravens, am I right.
What I know is that Black Americans and Egyptian people are not the same people. So, what difference should it make to you that in ancient times Egyptians were referred to as Black?

What difference you ask? Harry that’s a crazy question to ask, but for argument sake I’ll answer you. You say you are appointed (not anointed) as a prophet. Who appointed you. Where did you come from. How can you even proclaim to want to teach someone else their heritage, when you don’t know your own and know nothing of where you came from. I’ve never met a so called teacher who wants to learn absolutely nothing, listens to no one, agrees with nothing, but thinks they knows everything. You don’t even believe in a higher being, no God, Allah, deities, Spirits, nothing. You call your religion LIFE. Are you for real? Is anyone supposed to even listen to you?
Do you know your mother, her mother’s people, your father, his father’s people. Don’t you want to know where it is you came from, and by your picture you are indeed a black man, anything in history that comes out regarding your blackness should be of interest to you. The truth is Harry, you are not a prophet. You are a crazy old man who believes his own hype living in this rat race we call a society. I’m not trying to be mean Harry, cause I don’t believe in calling people names. I delete you all the time for doing it to others. I’m trying to make you understand how people feel about you. Maybe you should try to find another route to reach people, instead of the destructive behavior you portray on this site. I’m just saying!
Sister Irma, I'm going to look into this NGO network. I don't think I've watched it before, maybe so. I love history channels. I do have a lot of videos, I've been trying to upload for sometime. Your response started out by saying that you will answer my question for argument's sake, okay. My question was what difference it should make to you as a Black American woman that in ancient time Egyptians were referred to as Blacks. I made it clear that Black Americans are a different kind of Blacks from other Blacks. I gave that illustration that not all blackbirds are crows because some blackbirds are ravens, am I right. Likewise, all Black people are not Egyptians. Am I making any sense with you so far?
Well, as I search through all the ways you were trying to discredit me when you said that I do not believe in God, I am appointed and not anointed and how you delete me all the time making the excuse that I name call all because I have divine insight over you all and you don't like that, am I right. I have told you many a times my divine insight and wisdom that trumps the wisdom of you all is necessary and not a bad thing since I am your genuine prophet to lead us into sovereignty on a fertile portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders to worship God, pursue life, liberty, happiness and prosperity in our own way.
Similarly, the insight and wisdom of Moses you would expect that it trumped the wisdom of his people since it was Moses that God had anointed and was working through to bring the children of Israel out of bondage and slavery in Egypt, am I right. Naturally, God would make Moses wiser then his people. Similarly, God would make me wiser then my people since it will be me that would lead us into sovereignty on a fertile portion of this continent.
Anyway, your answer was that I should want to know where I came from, and by my picture I am indeed a Black American man and not an Egyptian man. So, anything in history that comes out regarding my blackness should be of interest to me. You finished up by saying that the truth of the matter is that I am not a prophet.
Anita, I do know where I came from and I do know where you came from as well. You and I came from out the ashes of plantation slavery in this country of White America. We have no biological connection or otherwise to the Egyptian people. Our existence was made possible when White Americans bred themselves with the pedigree Africans they purchase from the slave traders approximately 500 years ago. Therefore, my blackness and the blackness of the Egyptian people are two entirely different kinds of blackness if you will. In addition, the pedigree Africans that was brought to White America and put into slavery were not Egyptian people, am I right. What I see clearly is that you do not know who you are and where you came from, Anita.
Now, if you could stop hating on me a little perhaps you would understand me and the things I say a lot better and clearer. If I am wrong that we, Black Americans have no biological connection to the Egyptian people then you should show me how it is you all feel Black Americans came from Egyptian people. That is the crux of this issue and our disagreement. Our disagreement is not a bad thing since one of us will be come more enlightening than we were, am I right. So, go for it and show me how Black Americans is biologically connected to the Egyptian people.

Helen, I have been telling you and BIA for the longest how to break the invisible chains of slavery when I constantly say that our only permanent solution is that we must desire to become a sovereign people on a fertile portion of this continent that we could call our very own country with borders. This means that we must rid ourselves of the things that we have embraced that belongs to other people such as our religions of Christianity and Islam and embrace our religion LIFE. What I just said would get you started in the right direction. It would put you on the same path that I am on, okay. You know that I am right since all other Black leaders such as Bishop TD Jakes and Mr. Farrakhan have religions that belong to other people. Bishop TD Jakes has the Christian religion and Mr. Farrakhan has the Islamic religion. Christianity belongs to the European gentiles and Islam belongs to the Arabian people. Am I making any sense? When God decides to help a people those people will never be helped through a religion that belongs to another people.
Similarly, Moses essentially told the children of Israel the same thing that they must return the religion, ways and customs of Pharaoh and the Egyptian people and re-embrace their religion of Judaism given to the Hebrew people by God to Prophet Abraham. When the children of Israel began to understand Moses better and rid themselves of the ways of the Egyptian people they were then on the same path as Moses was on that eventually brought about the Exodus, am I right. However, the biggest problem the children of Israel had to overcome was that they did not believe God would do the things Moses was talking about happening. You all do not believe me as well. However, everything that I say is going to happen.
Your problem Helen is to recognize who your anointed prophet is if you do not believe that it is I.

Harry I’m not going to try to give you a history lesson on ancient Egypt, because I believe many have already given you that many times over, especially Brotha Saint, Sister Christine and many others, so you and I know where we came from. You talked about blackbirds, crows and ravens. I’m going with your analogy because I don’t know it to be true, but if it is, that means they all derived from one bird and so do African American people. “Sister Irma told you that she learned in science class “matter cannot be created or destroyed only changed”. Well you’re matter may have been diluted, but you are still that black man with that Egyptian/Black blood flowing through your body.
I don’t have to discredit you, you do that for yourself. You’re full of contradictions and yes I do believe you appointed yourself. Think about it. When Jesus, spoke the people listened. When the “Messenger” Farrakhan speaks, the people listen, and so on and so on. Who’s listening to you? I have not heard one person agree with you on any subject on this site.
Then you started on Moses. First of all you say the bible is not ours, but you keep referring to it. Moses was led by the Father, but Moses didn’t treat his people like you. He didn’t appoint himself as know it all because he was a student as well. There was another greater than himself. He humbled himself, something I’ve never heard from you. He didn’t believe himself to be wiser than the people. He believed everything he said came from a higher being. “GOD” He was just anointed to carry out God orders.
I know exactly who I am, where I’m going, although God may change my path, and where I came from, even though records have been destroyed. Of course you have a biological connection. You said our blood is mixed. Well not everyone, but even if we were, there’s still a portion that draws from your rich ancestors.
I’m not hating on you Harry. I’ve come to realize, like I’ve said, that you are truly a confused, self -proclaimed prophet like the other Jim Jones of the world, so I will end this conversation here, because I’m talking to a “Dead Horse”. Bless You Harry and Come Into The Light”

@Anita, I had just come back on line to post a blog about Egypt was teh first super power on earth and then I saw Harry was still on the site trying to do our thinking for us and decided what I was going to say on a new blog fits here more...I was gooing to name the blog Nostradamus 2012 @ his channel network(as this was the name of the program I was watcing speaking about Egypt)...Nostradamus was a person who could see into the future (as mush has come true of what he wrote back in the 14 hundreds I believe...and naturally he had to hide it in code from the church as science was as we all know banned...any way...this program covers a lot of things, but what hit me like a ton of bricks was when they were talking about Egypt's accomplishments and as we know we are still trying to this day to figure out how they did things like build the pyrmides, ect. They used science and studying the stars...but along comes religion that made things taht were proven banned because up in the sky was where heaven is and the earth was teh center of the universe and the world was flat and so on and so forth...
Now here we are in 2011 and we still have religious PROPHETS banning us from being able to use our own brains to do what brains do...learn and teach without any dictator having us believe we must have their o.k. to do what we are ordered to do...by them...
and, it really hit home just how far behind we are today than the Egyptians were over 5,000 years ago and we are still trying to control the Egyptians because they are sinners and have no rights to free will, human dignity as we continue to try and keep the individudal mind closed to being able to be all they can be. (NUP)
