Thanks guys for your kind words! I really miss Whitney and in her death she means so much more to me. I've not ceased to think about her and her faith in God. It's really helped me to feel more confident that I am being heard by God no matter what I'm going through. It's about a relationship with a living saviour who hears us when we call HIm.

i never met Mrs. Whitney Houston, AS i have never met YOU

but as you have written to BIA with Words of Caring, Devotion and Responsibility --LIKE

Jen Fad ---- a Blog entitled 'Nurses Heal Thyself: A Culture of Silence'.

“You must be the change you want to see in the world”.

"So deeply entrenched is culture that no one talks about it: ......"

i apologize, or maybe i was just INSPIRED by YOUR words of NOT to be SILENT

i am against the FALSE adoration of lawless, weak human examples!

you are 1,000,000 TIMES ---- GREATER than a drug/alcohol ABUSER, a lawless person getting older and getting weaker, a weak individual that did not follow nature other than chemically.............than Mrs. Whitney Houston

@ Brother Rob,

It's okay to agree to disagree on this notion regarding the Late Whitney. For me, it doesn't make a difference to me what her struggles were as we all have our own skeletons in the closet but its that hers were out in front because of who she was. At any rate, I will always love her. Thank you for your comments to my blog. Differing opinions and views are welcomed because we can't all think or feel the same.

actually i did not disagree with you

you are 1,000,000 TIMES ---- GREATER as a caring, devotional and responsible Woman

but

YOU would be 100,000,000 times Greater if you also had Mrs. Whitney Houston' voice

it is just that we in america, in my opinion, Adore elements that do not teach our Families and Youth better lessons.........of discipline and responsibility

and that is my concern with the adoration of unLawful American deaths....sic......

Brother Rob,

Your point is taken; however, I was the one disagreeing with you it seems. In spite of Whitney's troubled life, she was in fact a huge talent for which we shouldn't ever forget. I'm not celebrating the negative aspects of her life, but rather the positive gift of 'the voice' she blessed the world with.

Whitney isn't the first woman (Marilyn Monroe, Billy Holiday, Janice Joplin, Anna Nicole Smith, Judy Garland, Amy Winehouse, Dorothy Dandridge, Althea Flynt, Phyllis Hyman, Joyce Jameson, Dinah Washington, etc….), nor will she be the last to die from drugs but I hope that in my life time that we can see to it that wealth and fame doesn't give anyone a free pass to life in the fast lane.

List of Drug Related Deaths
The following is a list of notable people who have died from drug-related causes. Criteria for inclusion are death from overdose, death from organ-failure/illness due to or exacerbated by drug use, or death from suicide/misadventure under the influence of drugs. Deaths from lethal injection as a form of capital punishment, as well as deaths due to drug-related crime, are not included.

"to whom much is given, much is expected"

i apologize if my continued harangue on this matter might upset the memory of an angelic 'voice' - DIED from drugs/alcohol consumption...............

------but if a DOCTOR or NURSE is positive for unlawful drugs---all the study and adoration of that lifeGiver IS dismissed and Scorned

-----but when a factory worker tests positive for drugs, he/she is dismissed and Scorned.

-----but when an athlete takes a 'performance enhancing drug--he/she is banned or jailed from sports

its the FACT that a Wealthy, Attractive, FAMOUS, ....angelicVoice, divineBody, dunkingWonder, wallStreet success, businessGenius, etc...

--- chose to BREAK the LAWS of Society.........BREAK the simpleMinded STAR/APEX worshipper's psychotic Fanaticism----BREAK the Laws of Morality and Discipline.....

we cry and condemn in our Communities for poverty, ignorance or history----

YET adore those that got what society calls 'success', $,goodLooking, Famous?

howBOUT

why a boy on a street corner that peddling death and anticipating prison any second

why a girl patrols the 3AM streets doing anything!

why a swindler, a thief, bernieMadoof takes his moma for a scam

why an old football coach is a monster

no, I believe, that these "celebrity/famous" deaths SHOULD be the time when the SOCIETY says NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO....

this is NOT, proper HUMAN Behaviour or FEELINGS..............

this is NOT, Famous ------ this is antiLIVING, this is DISEASE of the Human Development and Societal Harmony

because each of these Famous might actually be WORSE than the boy, girl, swindler, and monster......

in my opinion................

hell, if i go --- tell the medical and moral TRUTH ---- GOOD or BAD

CAUSE there is more LIFE in SOCIETY ----that needs DIRECTION.............

{... we cry and condemn in our Communities for poverty, ignorance or history---- YET adore those that got what society calls 'success', $,goodLooking, Famous? [...]no, I believe, that these "celebrity/famous" deaths SHOULD be the time when the SOCIETY says NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.... }

This is the hypocrisy of American culture but at the same time we have to put all things in context though. The celebrities are put on pedestals and adored to the brink of dealth. They go and go because we demand that they always be available to entertain us. It's a two edged sword, but what can one do? There is no time to relax for these people because indirectly the camaras, fame, and glory are their drugs. At the end of the day, they go home to loniliness and emptiness... here in lies the great tragedy... they self medicate to fill the emptiness fame and fortune bring just to keep going until their bodies ENOUGH. Definitely these people are in a different class so we shouldn't deny this fact.

We adore them as if they are gods and not people. We don't treat them like ordinary, but extraordinary. When the celebs are on top ... we cheer ... but we they are down ... we kick; however, they are human beings who have feelings like anyone else. It's a sad situation that I doubt it will change.

Did you know that Canadian celebs come here to be famous because they don't treat them like gods in Canada? Canadian entertainers can walk the streets and go to the malls. It's just a different world for them.... so much so to be really big they come to our country to make it big and to get the exposure.
